theGrogroup moves HQ to Nottingham

We’re delighted to announce that theGrogroup has moved offices from the Lace Market to the newly opened Business Hub, which is part of the Landmark Business Centre in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

We also have an office in East Sussex and this move will establish the Nottingham office as our main headquarters. This central location means we are well placed to service our UK wide client base.

Founded in 1996, the Director team has been working together for almost ten years. Kate Hennig and Alex Shacklock both live in Nottingham and headed the award winning RSM Tenon Academy. They joined Paul Richmond’s existing business, to create theGrogroup as a niche consultancy to focus upon Professional Services Firms in 2014. Since then, theGrogroup has grown by over 170%, with year on year growth in 2016 of 40%. The aim is to achieve a target of 30% consistent growth over the next three years.

The have an expert team of over 20 consultants employed on a full time and contract basis and the move to West Bridgford will create three new employment opportunities over the next twelve months, as well as several new contract roles to facilitate client assignments.

Commenting on the move, theGrogroup Director Alex Shacklock, who recently authored a new book called “The Firm Principles,” said, “We have been delighted with the growth of our consultancy over the last three years and this office move is the next step in our strategy to become the leading provider of strategic, leadership and skills development advice to professional services firms.”

Kate Hennig, who is also the East Midlands regional chair for the PM Forum and a committee member of Nottingham Professional Services, added, “When we were looking for new premises we realised that West Bridgford was ideal for our new HQ. The location allows us to be based in premium office space in one of Nottingham’s exclusive suburbs whilst still within easy access of all transport links.”

theGrogroup works with firms who wish to align people and cultures with strategy to ensure that leadership and succession planning support business goals and empower people to drive results. It consults with senior management teams and offers a variety of solutions including development programmes that help fee earners along their career path as they transform to become trusted advisers. This includes programmes in leadership, partner development, management development and commercial acumen.

Clients include accounting firms Crowe Clark Whitehill and Blick Rothernberg and law firms ShakespeareMartineau, Bird & Bird, Gateley and Thomson Snell & Passmore based in Kent.

theGrogroup also facilitate conferences, main board and team offsite events and is currently retained to deliver the Managing Partner Programme on behalf of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).
